Christine Spradling
PRESIDENT
Hey! My name is Christine, and I am excited to serve as your club president this year!
I am originally from Colorado, but my family and I moved to Sewickley four years ago after spending seven wonderful years in Amsterdam. When we first arrived and didn't know anyone, the Sewickley Moms Club was a true blessing that helped me connect with other moms in the neighborhood.
After the birth of my second child, I decided to stay home full-time. My husband and I now have three children between the ages of five years old and six months. We stay busy, but in our free time we love being outdoors, and you can often find me biking around town with all the kids in tow. Hope to see you soon!

Catherine Vallejo
VICE PRESDIENT
Hello! My husband and I moved to Sewickley from Seattle in 2022 and have three kids ranging in ages from 0 to 4. I’m a stay at home mom, and you can find me grabbing coffee at Press or taking my kids to different playgrounds around the village. I’m looking forward to meeting you all! -

Amanda Upton
TREASURER
I grew up and have deep roots in Eastern NC. I went to undergrad at UNC (and got to see my Heels win the NCAA as a student). After living in East Pittsburgh for a couple of years, I dragged my native spouse, Steven, not only through a tunnel but over a bridge to move to the best area around. We have enjoyed living in the hills above the village ever since. I’ve spent my career in asset management, the last 13 years of which with a large family office in town. I love anything outdoors including skiing, running, cycling, boating, hiking, gardening, and playing with my kids.

Amy Jo Cross
FAMILY PARTY CHAIR
Hi! I’m Amy Jo. I grew up in Erie, PA and moved to Pittsburgh for work, where—funny enough—I ended up meeting my husband, who’s also from Erie! We now live here with our three year old Jack and 9 month old Luke. Being part of this group has been such a wonderful way to connect with other moms and discover everything the community has to offer. I’m excited to serve as Social Chair and help plan fun events that bring us all together!

Lauralee Kaminski
FAMILY PARTY CHAIR
In 2018, when my husband Joel and I found out we were expecting our first child, I left my career as a traveling occupational therapist to become a stay-at-home mom in Pittsburgh. We welcomed our son in 2019, and since then, our family has grown to include three daughters. Life with 4, 6 and under is full of chaos but I’m learning to embrace it. My family is my favorite blessing!

Christina Noll Wegemer
FAMILY PARTY CHAIR
I moved to Moon, PA from Houston, TX in June 2019 with my husband and our cat. Since then we've had two kids, Laurel (5) and Drew (4). I joined SAMC when my youngest turned one and now my oldest is entering kindergarten! We're less than 15 minutes away from the village and love spending time over the bridge in this great community. I enjoy engaging with new people during our meet ups. Being a mom is huge but being with this village makes it feel less scary. We can help each other! Remember to make time for yourself and I hope to see you at one of our events soon!

Brittany Cole
FAMILY PARTY CHAIR &
WELLNESS COORDINATOR
I'm a Pittsburgh native who left at 18 and took the scenic route home — Virginia Tech, Boston, and nine years in NYC, where I met my husband and then, in true Pittsburgh fashion, moved him "home." I studied nutrition and exercise science, taught Pilates, and was once an ACSM-certified exercise physiologist — so naturally, I went into tech. I built customer success teams for health tech startups until our first baby arrived (human, that is — our goldens, Phil and Hank, hold the OG title) and I pivoted into travel. Now our two kids (2 and 1) are seasoned little travelers, crossing the ocean with us many times a year — mostly to Europe for the wine and coffee (us, not them), food, and skiing. I'm a devoted skier and hiker, a loud Hokie, Steelers, and Penguins fan (contentious with my NY husband), and a bit witchy — deep into herbs, tinctures, and living out my childhood Harry Potter dream. My north star as Wellness Chair is simple: wellness is mental, physical, and social, and you can't deplete one for another.

Elena Chiappa
SUNSHINE
While I grew up in Philadelphia, my husband and I moved to Sewickley from Detroit in 2021 shortly before welcoming our daughter, Caroline. Mom's club has been a great resource to meet other parents and find friends for my daughter as well as myself. I'm a huge baseball fan and never miss an excuse to go to a game. I'm excited to plan some fun 3 & Under playdates and to do my best to accommodate a range of schedules so we can include as many families as possible.

Lacey Murray
4 & UNDER COORDINATOR
Hello, I’m Lacey! I grew up in West Virginia and moved to Pittsburgh a little over 10 years ago for a job at the Children’s Museum. In my role there I manage the museum’s work with artists and the art collection. My family includes my 4 year old twins, Spencer and Scarlett, and my husband Tim. We are in the full-throttle early childhood stage and most of our time is spent attempting to keep up with our little rascals. In my “free-time” I enjoy exercising (running, swimming, peloton workouts), reading, traveling, and creating things (art, cooking, play things for my kids, etc.). I’m an artist as well, and forever trying to carve out time for my art practice (painter, ceramics, mixed media). I’ve been a member of SAMC since 2022 and looking forward to continuing to meet and connect with other moms that can relate to all the fun, love, struggle, and chaos motherhood brings.

Rachel Durkan
3 & UNDER COORDINATOR
My name is Rachel - we moved here from Colorado last fall for my husbands job. I have two boys Harold who is three and Franklin is one and a half. We also have two dogs - a bully mix named Toad and chihuahua named Tini. I work part-time managing an urban farm in Bellevue and am looking forward to exploring Pittsburgh and planning the 3 and under playdates!

Carleigh Dettorre
BABIES COORDINATOR
My husband and I moved to Sewickley from the North Side of Pittsburgh just a month before I became a mother in 2023. The mom’s club has been an incredible source of support and friendship as our family has expanded over the past three years. We welcomed our second daughter this past April, and I eagerly anticipate meeting other moms who are also in the “baby stage” as the babies coordinator for the 2026-2027 year. Aside from having the most fun "being mommy", I work as a nurse at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. I also love to run, lift weights, read, get outside, ski (maybe I'll get back to it this year?), cook, watch "the sports" with my husband and make him rewatch Game of Thrones over and over.

Dakota Prakash
MNO COORDINATOR
Hello fellow moms! I have lived in the Pittsburgh area for most of my life, and moved to Sewickley in 2023 right around the time my husband and I found out we were expecting our youngest. We live right at the edge of the village on Chadwick Street, and you will regularly see my two kiddos (Rohan - 6 and Senua - 2) and me walking around, enjoying Sewickley and all the great people we are lucky to call our neighbors! As someone who did not have many friends with kids, joining the SAMC a year ago really helped me find and flourish in friendships with people who can relate to the fun (and crazy) parts of motherhood! As Mom's Night Out Coordinator, I hope to help you get the adult time you need to recharge your social battery and make some friends along the way! -

Rachael Wonderlin
SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR
I’m from South Jersey and went to college in Virginia, grad school in North Carolina, and then moved to Pittsburgh for work in 2015. My husband has lived in Sewickley for a long time, so when we got engaged we bought a home here together! We met doing improv comedy in the city—I was actually his team’s coach for years before we started dating. Our son is two years old and the light of our lives, and we also have a cat and a dog who don’t get along with each other! I have a Master’s in Gerontology and started my company, Dementia By Day, in 2016. You can often find me walking around town or lifting at the YMCA!
